Recycle More This Christmas

Recycle more this Christmas! Most of us produce extra waste over the festive period, simply because we buy more and use more. By making full use of your recycling services, you can reduce waste and increase recycling:
Make room in your rubbish bin by putting all food waste in your green food caddy (collected weekly)
✅ All food, including bread, bones, meat, fish, fruit and vegetable peelings, cooked food, uncooked food and leftovers can go in!
Recycle the following in your Blue Bin
✅ Tins and cans
✅ Empty aerosols cans
✅ Clean foil and foil trays
✅ Glass bottles and jars (with lids and caps)
✅ Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays
✅ Food and drink cartons
✅ Loose plastic bags and wrappers
Recycle all your paper and card in your Blue Bag
✅ Wrapping paper (not foil based or glittery)
✅ Christmas cards (no glitter)
✅ Cardboard (check for polystyrene first)
Grey Rubbish Bin: For everything else. The lid must be closed so it can be emptied and please DO NOT leave sacks of rubbish next to your bin as they will not be collected.
Household Recycling Centres accept textiles, small electrical items and batteries among many other materials. Check opening times before setting out. Visit the County website for more information.
