We’ve reached the next stage of our Local Plan for Newcastle-under-Lyme.
In December last year, we submitted our Local plan 2020 to 2040 to the Secretary of State in December. Now, an independent planning inspector will consider the plan at a series of examination hearing sessions held in public from today (Tuesday 20 May).
The Local Plan sets out where and how development should happen in our area between now and 2040. It helps us make decisions about planning applications.
The hearing sessions take place at Castle House today and the weeks beginning 28 May and 17 June.
You can find all the info about the sessions, including dates, documents and how to watch, on our website
